MSHP says Idaho man killed on highway


PATTONSBURG, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a 46-year-old pedestrian on the interstate was killed overnight Friday.

Matthew Martin, of Preston, Idaho, was walking northbound on Interstate 35, 10 miles south of Pattonsburg when he was struck by a Honda Accord driven by 26-year-old Christopher Ellis of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Martin was pronounced dead at the scene. Ellis was unharmed.
